1- WAILING WIDOW FALLS-CAITHNESS
You’ll find the Wailing Widow Falls south of Unapool, along the A894, very impressive after rainfall and hidden from the road, no facilities.

DISTANCE-1.5-2 miles
TERRAIN-a small rough track takes you right to the bottom of the falls., rocky and muddy so care is needed




2- FAIRY POOLS- ISLE OF SKYE
Amazing series of rock pools and waterpools with the stunning backdrop of the Cullin range,
You do have to pay to park, no facilities.

TERRAIN-Clear paths which go alongside the waterfalls, some rocky and boggy sections not suitable for prams




3-GREY MARES TAIL MOFFAT
Amazing walk to the top of the waterfalls, care is needed but Loch Skeen is beautiful and worth the walk, no facilities.

DISTANCE-1 -5 miles can extend to walks in the area
TERRAIN- Steep, boggy path to the view point, can follow the steep steps to the top of the waterfall but extra care needed as drop edges




4-INGLETON WATERFALL TRAIL-INGLETON
Our favourite waterfall circular walk in the Yorkshire Dales, Ice cream van half way, toilets and cafe at the start. Maps also available at the beginning,

5-ABER FALLS-NORTH WALES
Cafe and toilets in the village and toilets at the start, easy gentle buggy friendly walk to the waterfall, or can extend to a longer circular walk thats off the trail and a little quieter.

DISTANCE-2.5-6 miles
TERRAIN- Excellent buggy trail to the falls, the circular then crosses some muddy terrain with some incline

6-JANETS FOSS-MALHAM
Village has toilets, cafe, pub and shop, also have the option to walk to Gordale Scar and Malham Cove, making it a nice circular walk of approx 5-6 miles

7-HIGH FORCE WATERFALLS-COUNTY DURHAM
Discover the force of nature at High Force, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in England, located at Forest-in-Teesdale
We parked at Bowlees Car park to include a longer and more spectacular walk with the option of adding in the cave sign posted form the car park

8-PISTYLL RHAEADR-POWYS WALES
At 240ft (80m) high it is Britain's tallest single-drop waterfall, captivating all who visit. We extended the walk into the moors above and the top of the waterfall.

DISTANCE-Less than 0.5 miles to the waterfall but can extend
TERRAIN- Easy to the base of the waterfall, but steep, rocky and muddy above the falls

9-AYSGARTH FALLS-YORKSHIRE DALES
Aysgarth Falls are a triple flight of waterfalls,[1] surrounded by woodland and farmland, carved out by the River Ure over an almost one-mile stretch on its descent to mid-Wensleydales

10- CAUTLEY SPROUT- YORKSHIRE
Cautley Spout is a spectacular broken cascade of waterfalls that drops almost 200m from the rim of Cautley Crags down into Cautley Holme Beck.
This waterfall in the summer is fantastic for paddling as its so clear.

DISTANCE-3 mile return walk
TERRAIN- Good path to the base of the waterfall but very steep if you climb up. Some rocky and muddy sections




11-KIDSON FORCE YORKSHIRE DALES
Kisdon Force is a series of waterfalls in a wooded gorge on the River Swale in beautiful Swaledale, one of the most scenic of the Yorkshire Dales.
Toilets and cafe but check with Covid on the website, we always include the Keld to Muker lead mine trail with this walk.

DISTANCE-1 Mile to the waterfalls but can explore the olr ruins trail
TERRAIN- Easy to the base of the waterfall,with a good path throughout and some incline

12- AIRA FORCE- LAKE DISTRICT
Experience Aira Force at its best as you head towards the thunderous roar of the waterfalls. Pass through woodland with lush green ferns and evergreen specimen conifers that tower over open glades Carpark is NT, also a shop and toilets

13- BRECON BEACONS WATERFALL WALK-WALES
This circular walk through ‘Waterfall Country’ in the Brecon Beacons visits four stunning falls set in beautiful woodlands, plenty of ups/downs NOT buggy friendly

TERRAIN- Well sign posted,, steep sections with rocks and mud in places, quite a strenuous walk




14-HARESHAW LINN- NORTHUMBERLAND
Hareshaw Linn is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), designated for its rare ferns and lichen. More than 300 different types of mosses, liverworts and lichen can be found. We completed the walk when we also walked the beamish valley hillfort trail.

15-LIGHTSPOUT WATERFALLS-SHROPSHIRE
A beautiful walk in the Carding Mill Valley at the heart of the Long Mynd and takes you on a gentle ascent along the stream to the four metre cascade at the picturesque Lightspout Waterfall.
PARKING- Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton, Shropshire SY6 6JG
DISTANCE-2-3 miles
TERRAIN- a footpath that is narrow at various points. There is a gentle incline along the route.

16-CATRIGG FORCE/STAINFORTH FORCE-YORKSHIRE DALES
Catrigg Force is a lovely waterfall that is hidden away in a deep gorge above the village of Stainforth.
Stainforth force is a short walk form the car park which is set in a deep gorge and often you will see Salmon leaping.

DISTANCE 3-4mile circular walk
TERRAIN- Well sign posted, steep sections, some farming land so care needed with cattle.




17-SCALEBAR FORCE-YORKSHIRE DALES
Scaleber Force is a stunning 40ft waterfall within Scaleber Wood Nature Reserve. An improved (though very narrow and steep) stepped path leads down to a small viewing point from where there are good views up to the waterfall.

18-HERMITAGE FALLS-PERTHSHIRE
Walk through towering Douglas firs to the folly of Ossian’s Hall, and gaze over the falls, some of the tallest trees in the UK and beautiful trail.

19-CORRIESHALLOCH GORGE -PERTHSHIRE
Corrieshalloch is one of the most spectacular gorges of its type in Britain and provides striking evidence of how glacial meltwater can create deep gorges.
Cross the suspension bridge and marvel at the Falls of Measach plummeting into one of the most spectacular gorges in Britain

20-GALLENY FORCE- LAKE DISTRICT
Also know as Fairy Glen, Galleny Falls is to be found near Stonethwaite in Borrowdale. Just take a walk for a few 100 yards up the clear waters of Langstrath Beck to find the lower pool, a perfect spot for relaxing and paddling on a hot summer's day.
