Shining Tor is the highest hill t in Cheshire at 559m, and sits on the border with Derbyshire with fantatsic views as far as North Wales on a clear day..
This walk starts off from Errwood Reservoir and Can easily be extended over to Cat’s Tor, making it a longer circular walk.
The walk is easy to follow on wide well trodden paths, its a great first walk due to the excellent paths and gentle inclines.

Errwood Hall Car Park (and the road to it) is CLOSED on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 10:30am to 5:30pm. This applies from May until the end of September every year. If you want to do this walk on a day when Errwood Hall Car Park is closed, you will need to park at The Street Car Park instead, which is just before Errwood Hall Car Park, along a flat road beside the reservoir, adding an extra 1.5 miles to the route.
