On a clear day this is one of the nicest walks in the Forest of Bowland.

A long narrow lane leads you all the way to Fell Foot Farm, along this road is a couple of lay-bys which is normally plenty of space to park.

 

🥾Follow the road up hill past the farm and through the gate, you will see two paths ahead, one steeply ahead and one that skirts around the left of the hill, we have done both, on our recent walk we took the left hand path and followed the path around until you come to a fence.

🥾At the fence head uphill now it is really steep but only a short sections, there is often people gliding in off the summit.

🥾You will see the summit cairn of Parlick in front of you, a large pile of rocks with a meal pole in the middle.

 

🥾You will see the path in front of you and in the distance Fair Snape fell, the oath leads away from Parlick summit

🥾The path is well trodden, you follow it along the fence line until you reach the next summit, there is a dip in the hill where you loose a few metres and climb back up.

🥾You keep on this path following it around to the left until you cross the fence.

🥾In front of you, you will see Paddy's pole and cairn  and a shelter, then further back is the trig point.

We always enjoy a nice rest here for a snack and drink.

Return the same way, at the junction of heading back up Parlick you can take the right hand path which goes around the side and leads you back to the same path to the car, this saves  climbing back up to go down.

 

One for a clear dry day as can get quite boggy after rain and difficult to navigate in poor visibility.
