The park as various entrances and all road side parking, we parked at the bottom by the main entrance.

Through the gates to the right is a children's play area, and in front of you a large memorial statue with a pond behind it.

The walk goes through the forest, with various waterfalls ( small) wooden statues , plenty of birds and ducks to see, it is well maintained and great paths with things to see along the way.

At the top of the park we crossed the road and followed the path which goes through a gate and begins to rise steeply, this was a good solid path from here to the summit of Darwen tower.

You can walk to the top of the tower via some steps, its worth the trip for the views across Lancashire.

We returned the same way.
