TERRAIN- Mixture of good paths, faint grass paths with a steep incline and sections of bog
Quieter walk compared to the sister summit of Pendle hill, also has some amazing views from the summit.
We opted to walk from a lay-by at the reservoir, which initially followed the Bronte Way, which was a great solid path for a good 2 miles, before the turn off up to the summit. This path is faint in this section but it can be seen in good visibility. It can also be very boggy after heavy rain.
We followed this path steeply up hill, coming to large boulders which make a great stopping point for a snack whilst checking out the views.
Its a continuous uphill walk until you spot the trig point.
You have the option of making it a circular but we returned the same way as we knew the path and Reo had just not long come out of a cast so we didn't want to walk much further.
It was a really nice, easy going walk, with rewarding views and much quieter than other hills, you can also walk from Trawden or Wycoller.
