PARKING-Roadside at The Hause, the highest point of the minor road between Matterdale End and Watermillock.

TERRAIN-Steep Grass paths, and easy to follow
ABOUT THE WALK AND DIRECTIONS
From the roadside parking you will see a gate with the step stile alongside to cross to enter the fell.
Go straight across the path above the fence, and ascend the path straight up the fell side, it is steep in sections but easy to follow., with a large trig post at the summit and a great hill to roll down afterwards.
You can incorporate Great Mell fell as well but we did them both separate as Ariya was only just 2 but she managed them well, both easy walks, Little Mell fell is shorter but steeper walk.
